Jonathan Skelding, Chief Operating Officer

Jonathan Skelding has spent twenty years building the partner channels that turn enterprise software companies into scaled businesses. As Chief Operating Officer at Cadents, he owns go-to-market execution and the partner program at a company whose entire delivery model runs through MSPs, VARs, and systems integrators. It’s the fourth time he’s built a channel from zero, and the first time the channel is the company’s whole strategy.

Jonathan spent six years at ServiceMax, where he built the company’s technology partner ecosystem from the ground up to nearly sixty partners, grew technology alliances into a self-sustaining program contributing 12% of net-new subscription revenue, and launched its indirect resell channel across North America, EMEA, and Japan. He was there through ServiceMax’s $915M acquisition by GE Digital, where he went on to lead the go-to-market team for the Microsoft cloud partnership, announced in 2018 as the largest in the two companies’ history. Across a career spanning public, venture-backed, and private-equity-backed companies, including Oracle, he has built channel and GTM programs at three early-stage companies, most recently taking Rootstock Software’s partner channel from zero to 10% of net-new ARR in its first year.

His career began at Extensity, where as Chief Technologist and Hosted Architect he built the company’s hosted delivery model, including its redundancy and security infrastructure, working alongside Cadents founder Julie Case through the company’s IPO. They were building SaaS before anyone called it that. Twenty-five years later, they’re building together again.
